Credit Board Forum

October 22nd, 2008 admin Posted in Forums No Comments »

I came across another great forum: Credit Boards this site has also sorts of great information on building and improving your credit. If you would like to find out information about credit card deals, annual percentage rates and what that does to your FICO score there are plenty of informative threads to read through.

One outstanding thread is about credit cards and there is a spreadsheet updated periodically to tracke several things including the cards: credit limit, current balance, available credit, credit utilized, payment due date, date last used, date card opened, date card closed, etc. This is an extremely useful spreadsheet that will help you keep detailed track of what you’re spending and what credit cards you’re spending it on.

There is also a great thread on MyFico.com discounts - some as high as 20% off. By signing up with myFico you get access to all three credit scores from Experian, Equifax and TransUnion.

If you sign up at Credit Boards, you can post information in the threads and get help from the dedicated and knowledgeable moderators.

I stumbled upon this forum: www.BkForum.com - it’s a great free resource for people looking to understand their options throughout the bankruptcy process. The forum is divided up into the following sections:

- General Talk
- General Bankruptcy Talk
- Chapter 7
- Chapter 13
- Collections
- Foreclosure
- Exemptions
- Rebuilding Credit

And much more. The forum covers a wide variety of issues including: A possible new stimulus package, The US Federal Government Deficit, The 10 Dumbest Ways to go into Debt and what you can do to stay out of debt. There are many informed and articulate people that take the time to post their thoughts and are genuinely looking to share their experiences and help other people out. If you are contemplating bankruptcy this is a great resource that you shouldn’t pass up. You should also heed their warning about what you read in the forum:

No advice given on our forums can be considered legal advice. We recommend you consult a lawyer if you want professional assurance that information given to you by other forum members, and your interpretation of it, is appropriate to your particular situation. Everything is strictly informational.”
