Job layoffs are escalating everywhere and pretty quickly. Here in Seattle, Boeing announced they were laying off close to 10,000 people and Starbucks announced it was laying off 6,700 people. As more and more people lose their jobs, there will inevitably be more people that get behind on their bills. Hopefully the new stimulus package that passed the House today will help to restart the economy, but I think that will take some time. It might be close to 1 or 2 years before things really get back to a semblance of normal and in the meantime, most people are just trying to hang on.
